IQST Graduate School @QuantumBW: Two-Day Training Activities

The IQST Graduate School @QuantumBW is excited to host a two-day training program on December 2–3, 2025, designed to support the scientific and professional development of its young researchers. These activities are organized by the Graduate School and are open not only to PhD students of the program, but also to all students and early career researchers across the IQST community, fostering exchange, skill-building, and hands-on experience.

Scientific Presentations: How to Optimize Posters and Talks (December 2)

On the first day, participants will take part in a full-day workshop led by Prof. Dr. Matt Carter (Williams College, US), focusing on practical tools and exercises to help communicate research clearly, confidently, and effectively to diverse audiences. This interactive session is designed to strengthen presentation and poster skills for scientific contexts.

Visit to Swabian Instruments GmbH (December 3)

The second day offers a visit to Swabian Instruments in Stuttgart, including a company introduction, a tour of the facilities, and a hands-on session with the Time Tagger API. This provides participants with an opportunity to engage directly with cutting-edge quantum instrumentation and its applications.

Across these two days, participants will strengthen their scientific communication skills, explore cutting-edge quantum technology, and connect with peers from across the IQST community, building networks and exchanging ideas that will enrich their research and professional development.
