IQST at “Physik – Die Wissen schafft”: Final Evening of the Public Lecture Series

As part of the University of Stuttgart’s activities for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the Department of Physics is concluding its public lecture series “Physik – Die Wissen schafft” with a highlight event on cutting-edge quantum technologies.

We are especially proud to announce that this evening’s speaker will be Prof. Dr. Stefanie Barz, Director of IQST and Professor at the Institute for Functional Matter and Quantum Technologies, who will give a talk titled “Licht & Quanten: Von abhörsicherer Kommunikation bis zum Quantencomputer” on Monday, 7 July at 18:00 in Lecture Hall 47.02 at the University of Stuttgart. The event will explore the fascinating potential of light and quantum systems – from unbreakable encryption to the quantum computers of tomorrow.

As on previous evenings, IQST will be present with an exhibition area in the foyer of lecture hall 47.02. Visitors are warmly invited to stop by, discover highlights from our current research, and chat with scientists from the IQST community. After the lecture, we welcome all attendees to stay for a relaxed get-together with pretzels and drinks, kindly supported by IQST. The lecture will be held in German and is open to everyone with an interest in science. Admission is free. For more details or to register, please visit the event page. Join us to celebrate the closing evening of this successful series — and an inspiring journey into the world of quantum science!
