IQST at the Stuttgart Science Festival 2026

IQST took part in the Stuttgart Science Festival 2026 (WiFest2026), joining researchers, institutions, and members of the public in celebrating science and innovation in the Stuttgart region.

The festival was officially opened at Stuttgart City Hall by journalist Ingo Zamperoni, who led the evening’s programme featuring contributions from Dr. Frank Nopper, Mayor of Stuttgart, Petra Olschowski, Minister of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg, and Rainer Wieland, President of the Verband Region Stuttgart.

As part of the opening programme, Prof. Stefanie Barz, Director of IQST, highlighted the role of quantum science and technology within the region’s vibrant research landscape.

Throughout the festival, visitors were invited to the IQST information booth, where they could learn more about the Center, its partner institutions, research activities, educational opportunities, and upcoming community events.

The festival provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the public, introduce IQST to new audiences, and promote quantum science and technology in an accessible and interactive setting.
